Bite of the Apple

Hey, sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I got an iPhone last night and I thought that I would write a blog on it!

Seven more days, and I am forever done with high school…

…soon!

Today was alright. I had to finish my rough draft for my essay on Great Britain. It is worth fifteen percent of the overall grade in my government class, which is pretty scary! The final draft is due on Friday, which should be plenty of time.

At lunch today, we voted for next year’s Science Club officers. Lydia won the presidency unanimously, and the current president, Mason, was hurt. I have known Mason for a few years now, and while I like him and I think he is a great person, he has a lot of learning to do. Though, I myself have a lot of learning to do as well! Anyway, I didn’t vote for him because I didn’t think he led the club very well this year. I didn’t think I would feel bad for not voting for him, but when I saw his reaction I could tell he cared a lot. It was a bigger deal to him then it was to me…

I got asked to go to Steller’s prom by this girl named Angela, who also goes to Dimond. I’m not sure yet if I’ll go or not, I have already gone to West’s and I am still going to go to Dimond’s. Too much money!

When I got home, I almost immediately went to sleep. I took around a three hour nap, and I’m not really tired at all as I’m writing this. I might stay up a bit, and I should as I still need to do my Lit homework. That is why I took the month off, isn’t it?

I talked to Anna on the phone a little bit ago, which was nice. We were trying to talk on MSN, but it wasn’t sending my messages to her and her messages weren’t being sent to me! I usually don’t like talking on the phone, but it was nice to hear her voice for once rather then just texting or messaging. I know you might be reading this, Anna, so I’ll say hello! I’m looking forward to Saturday, I’m sure it will be a day just as beautiful as you. Now, if I could only be so bold as to say that in person! Hehe.

I’ve been talking to this girl, Danika, who I only know from seeing her in the hallways. She was on my list of suggested friends on Facebook, so I added her and we have been talking a bit on the ever-annoying Facebook chat. It’s kind of annoying that I have been meeting a lot of great people this last couple of months, and I’m moving this summer. Just my luck.

It was a gorgeous day out, even if it did snow early in the morning. Even though I didn’t get a lot done, I wouldn’t take any of it back. Today was just fine.

Last night was William’s birthday party. Now that I think about it, it went by really fast! I got there around three in the afternoon, and by that time most of the people were already there and they were doing what I expected: playing video games. Brian and Sara eventually showed up, and then we opened up William’s presents. At some point we decided to go to the mall, which was sort of dull, and so we returned to William’s house and sat around for a while. Max and I eventually went out on a walk, and we met up with Emmy (who was at the party but had to go home) at Carrs, and some of the others came later and we all went and played pool at Dimond Billiards. This summer I think I want to play pool every weekend. We got back to William’s house around three in the morning (twelve hours from when I first got there), and I went to sleep.

I think that was the most boring narration ever. I did have fun, and it was nice to see Brian and Sara since they live out of town. Going to play pool made my night, I think. It was just… nice.

My dad is pretty annoyed with me right now, understandably. I’m horrible at procrastination, and he doesn’t want to see me fuck things up. I think he is convinced that I don’t care, yet I really do. I almost cried the other day in A.P. Lit when it dawned on me how deep my hole could get if I stop climbing out. I’m almost there, I just can’t give up.

Anna and I are going to have our date next this coming Saturday night, instead of tonight. Her family wanted to do something for Easter, though I guess she wasn’t sure before. I am actually glad, a bit, that we are postponing it. It gives me more time for homework tonight, as well as I’ll have more money by next weekend. There are good things in everything.

I’m probably going to go out to the Valley next Saturday, before my date. My cousin’s birthday is today, and since I didn’t have time to go out this weekend I’m going to try for this coming weekend. I’ll probably go say hello to Brian and Sara to, and maybe we could go see Adventureland like Sara wanted.

This is probably the most boring, drawn out blog post I have ever written.

Focus

…until I graduate, presumably. I am on a hiatus from my job to put most of my time, focus, and energy into these last four weeks of my high school career. I never understood why they called it a career, but I suppose it has equivalent time demands as a normal career might. Anyway, I’m on the right track to finishing A.P. Literature and A.P. Government with passing grades, but I can’t stop working at it.

Tomorrow, or rather, later today is my best friend’s eighteenth birthday. He invited a bunch of people over to his house and I can’t wait! I’m pretty stoked, though my other best friend is worried about how things might turn out. We’ll see, I suppose.

Sunday night I have a date with this girl I have been interested in for a while now. It’s just a date, nothing more, so we’ll see where that goes. Let’s hope I’m not too nervous, hehe! I don’t think I will be, though.
